Content & Licensing
Visualible is a reading platform that provides enhanced editions of books ("MeBooks") for educational and personal use. We are committed to ensuring that all content on our platform is lawful, properly sourced, and respectful of intellectual property rights.
Content Sources
All books available on Visualible fall into one of the following categories:
- Public Domain Works — Books that are no longer protected by copyright and are legally available for free use. Many of these are sourced from trusted repositories such as Project Gutenberg.
- Licensed Content — Books made available through agreements with rights holders, publishers, or authorized distributors.
No Unauthorized Distribution
Visualible does not host or distribute pirated, unauthorized, or illegally obtained content. We do not operate as a file-sharing or download service.
Our platform is designed for reading, not bulk downloading or redistribution.
How Visualible Works
Visualible enhances original books by adding optional, in-context reference material such as:
- Major characters
- Locations and settings
- Important terms and references
The original text remains unchanged. The enhancement layer is separate and fully controlled by the reader.
Intended Use
Visualible is designed for:
- Readers of classic and complex literature
- Students and educators
- Libraries and academic institutions
Our goal is to improve comprehension and access to literature, not to replace or undermine traditional publishing.
